Knew what I was getting in for.
I ordered the cover knowing that many people had problems with the placement of the vents. The cover fits well and looks very good.

DOES NOT KEEP THE RAIN OUT
This cover fits the grill well (thats what the 1 star is for). But it offers no protection against the rain. The vent holes will carry water in. BEWARE.

Beyond poor vent design, right over the grill controls….
The only explanation for Weber to place these vents on the top sides of the grill is that they want you to have to buy replacement parts much sooner than you normally would.

I just received this from Amazon (not a third-party reseller) last week, and am happy to report that Weber has listened to their customers and stopped with the vents…

Just ordered…this is a great cover and has no vents at all!
I just ordered this from Amazon on 06/23/2009, and I was sent the Weber 7553 cover according to the label on the box.

I just received my cover from evVive and it has no mesh vents at all! Thank you, Weber! I guess someone at Weber was listening.
